Business and Finance Coordinator

The Business Office seeks a motivated individual to support day-to-day operations and special projects. The Business & Finance Coordinator regularly interfaces with other departments and external entities. The position handles a wide variety of situations with problem-solving skills. This individual is a quick learner and adaptive team player with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides suggestions for value-add initiatives and opportunities
  • Coordinates with the Universitys Advancement department
  • Updates gift, grant, and endowment information for the Business Office
  • Maintains University Contract Repository and assists with contract preparation
  • Tracks reoccurring financial and contractual obligations
  • Resolves problems and facilitates solutions
  • Writes policies and procedures related to the Business Office
  • Coordinates, identifies, and implements process improvements for the Business Office
  • Provides general support and administrative coordination for the Office of the CFO which includes the Business Office, Information Technology, Human Resources, Events, Campus Store, and Campus Operations.
  • Prepares and consolidates reports
  • Serves as a liaison for external revenue-producing relationships
  • Works collaboratively across the campus to assist in the coordination of projects
  • Assists with special projects as needed

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or relevant experience.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Interact effectively and professionally with a diverse group of people. Must have effective communication skills. Must be flexible and prepared for unanticipated tasks and deadlines. Ability to read and analyze information and ideas presented in writing. Must have superb computer skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, and especially Excel as well as the ability to learn new software programs as needed. Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion is required.
